Insight Communications’ entry into the advertising scene in the 80s marked a turning point in the history of marketing communications in Nigeria. Founded by Biodun Shobanjo, the agency is today one of the nation’s most versatile agencies.
“The Spirit of Independence” created for Nigerian Breweries during Nigeria’s 45th Independence Celebration, came first in the Press Advert (Consumer Goods).
The advert, is an unusual design that is fresh, arresting and ingenious. The careful play on the national flag, the creative display of a chilled bottle and the tight but apt copy convey the spirit of independence- a spirit that allows for freshness in addressing even the routine.
