RADIO PRESENTER

Giving them a voice
Rosemary Okorie, Winner, RADIO PRESENTER, at the 17th DAME
Kiddies’ voices is a programme on Voice of Nigeria (VON) with focus on the Nigerian children. Anchored by Rosemary Okorie, the programme also gives the Nigerian children the opportunity of been heard. The particular edition of the programme that won Okorie the Radio Presenter of the Year award was aired on August 21, 2007. centred on the relationship between a Jewish name in the bible, Malachi and an indigenous word, Mallam Kai. The edition also featured children from Lara Narrow Way Nursery and Primary School Lagos.

Okorie attended Apapa High School, Delta State University and the University of Lagos. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English education (1992) and a Masters in Public and International Affairs (2006). She is presently a principal presentation officer with VON.
