 The Sun newspaper is the Best Designed Newspaper of the year. Three publications in its stable; Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, and Sunday Sun were collectively adjudged the best in 2006 for this award.
Fondly called the Sunsational newspaper, this self-styled Nigeria's king of tabloids was deservedly rewarded for its appealing front page design, expressive use of photography, neat inside layout, good choice of graphics and catchy headlines.
The Sun Publishing Limited, set up on March 29, 2001 to undertake the business of printing and publishing, made its debut with Saturday Sun on January 18, 2003 and later Daily Sun on June 16, 2003 . It has Mike Awoyinfa as Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Dimgba Igwe as Deputy MD and Deputy EiC and Femi Adesina as Editor, Daily Sun.
